Vazhvanthol waterfalls

Vazhvanthol, A beautiful scenic Waterfalls located near Bonacaud (Agasthyakoodam trucking starting point from kerala) in Thiruvananthapuram District. It is about 52 Km away from Trivandrum Central Railway station.   The route from Trivandrum is Trivandrum-Nedumangad-Chullimanoor-Vithura and take right deviation just after Vithura (Vithura - Bonacaud Rout). After 10-12 km from Vithura, there is forest check post, road to the water falls vehicle parking area is about 1 km away from the check post.  There is an entry fee for the trucking, that we need to pay at the checkpost to go further.  We need to walk about 2 km through forest to reach the lower waterfalls. There is no guard to get help you in the trucking, but you will get information about the place from the local people there. There is no restaurant or shops near Vazhvanthol, so please keep food and drinking water as much as possible.
The upper falls is  dangerous as there is a pond like structure just bottom of falls with plenty of water and the rocks are slippery.  The water is fresh and cool. Avoid swimming in upper falls if you don't know swimming well. We cant touch the ground in that pond as it is in very depth. There is a small rock at centre of that pond. It is very dangerous to try to reach there if you don't know swimming well.
